Description


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Third Party Accounts Receivable:
Take full ownership of A/R line item on the balance sheet including:
•Approval with BU MD’s or GM’s and Heads of A/R sections customer credit limits up to 100 K USD
•Review credit files and prepare recommendation to credit committee re credit ceiling for customers
Control customer credit files in subsidiaries
• Conduct and control period Accounts Receivable reconciliations
• Participate in BU weekly collection meetings
• Follow up overdues and progress (Export and Local)
• Control that proper accounting entries are made for export collections collected in off-shore books
• A/R Insurance
• Set monthly collection budgets and A/R limits and follow up collection progress and cash inflows

Internal Accounts Receivable:
• Control and follow up inter BU receivables including timely settlement of dues; proper inter BU pricing and reconciliations
• Control Subsidiary accounts with head office


Opex and BU Control:
• Take ownership of Group and subsidiary opex budgets and control including payroll control and various opex control review reports
• Review and approve all PV’s for expenses prior to issuance of check by subsidiaries?
• Take ownership of BU’s fixed assets ledger
• Control weekly and monthly bank reconciliations of subsidiaries
• Control cash accounts in subsidiaries
• Support External Audit at subsidiaries level


Financial Reporting:
• Support Group Finance Manager and Group Bus Plan manager in preparation of financial statements; financial performance reports; cash flow reporting; etc..

SKILLS:

•University Degree: Bachelor in Accounting/Banking & Finance, MBA is a plus
•Experience: min 5 - 6 years as Accountant /Senior Account
•Language: English, Arabic (French is a plus)
•Effective verbal/presentation and communications skills
•Very good writing and reporting skills
•Sound organizational and time-management skills
