JOB ROLE:

Assists the Restaurant Manager in controlling and monitoring the performance of the restaurant’s daily operations and workflow, by managing its human resources, overseeing the inventory and the ordering of food and supplies, optimizing profits and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their dining experience.


DUTIES SUMMARY:

• Handles customer’s complaints and taking any appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
• Seeks feedback from customer through comment card and coordinate with the restaurant manager on the potential corrective or improvement actions
• Ensures the application of operations manuals and work procedures
• Ensures the application of all Food Safety and Cleaning standards in the restaurant
• Ensures ordering goods according to the par level stock, to control the cost, the waste and the inventory variance
• Monitors stock in the restaurant and takes proper action when needed
• Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of food preparation
• Performs Opening and Closing Checklist/Hand over checklist to make sure that the restaurant operations is run smoothly and well function by applying the critical path methodology
• Ensures that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, customers and company assets
• Participates in developing a positive working environment to increase harmony between team members for better productivity
• Develops employees by providing ongoing feedback, and communicating performance expectations.
• Ensures that Human Resources policies and regulations are well applied in the outlet

REQUIRED SKILLS (EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION) & COMPETENCIES:

• Diploma or Degree holder in hospitality management or equivalent
• 2-4 years of relevant experience, 2 of them in supervisory position
• Advanced knowledge of the Restaurant Business (operational systems knowledge)
• Ability to understand and apply principals of all Food & Beverage metrics of measurement. (food costs)
• Fluency in English and Arabic; French is a plus
• Knowledge in Food Safety standards
• Advanced computer skills
