Description


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER FOCUS
*Effective resource planning for customer service
*Ensure regular training of store staff on all aspects of customer service, product knowledge and selling skills
* Regularly assess customer service standards within the store
*Never say "No" to customers
CASH OPERATIONS
*Monitor the work of cashiers on a daily basis
*Training and development of cashiers
*Generation of various till reports during day begin/end
*Manage bank deposit activities and ensure cash is counted accurately at the end of each shift
*Reconcile cash with reeip of each shift
*Ensure proper customer service at the POS
*To monitor exchange and refund at the cash counter
SALES AND COMMERCIAL PROFIT
*Achieve revenue targets for the store
*Actively seeks ways to ahieve or exceed store sales targets
*Monitors and controls expenses (overtime, damages, shrinkage & consumables) through efficient store operations
SHOP KEEPING & STORE STANDARDS
*Ensure accurate stock merchandise and management (stock ageing, stock loss & space management) within the store
*Oversee and monitor inventory management in the store (stock availability, order management, back store management)
*Ensure compliance for all employment and state laws, including wage and hour, human rights and equal employment opportunities
*Oversee cash tranactions entry and management (petty cash, POS cash, change floats)
*Regularly audit own store administration and resolve any issues
*Monitor and continuosly seek to understand commercial environment, local trading patterns, competitor activities and market trends in the retail sector and their impact in the store
*Monitor and handle customer complaints and take corrective actions in line with the Company policy
*Maintain window and in store displays to a high standard in line with the merchandising guidelines
*Maintain a high level of store health and security for compan assets, cash, stock & property
*Ensure seasonal peaks, important trading/promotional events are taken into account when preparing forecasts and staff rosters
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
*Ensure store expectations and priorities are communicated to staff
*Review and provide reguar feedback to staff on perfoamnce
*Carry out regular in store training
*Support induction of new recruits
*Oversee staff development and drive motivation levels of all store associates

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & WORK
EXPERIENCE
* Graduation in BA or TS
*5 Yrs plus in a similar work experience, Fashion Retail.
