Description


Job Purpose:
Operations Manager is responsible of overlooking the overall beach operation with a focus on the following main departments:
- Floor
- Front Office
- Maintenance
- SPA
His job consists mainly on planning, organizing, staffing and overseeing the daily operations of the Resort.

Responsibilities and Obligations:

o Work jointly with other department heads and the back office
o Plan and implement the opening period every season
o Implement various programs and incentives to motivate staff and increase internal revenues
o Work to improve the working environment and business processes of a company
o Aim to strengthen client relationships and ensure successful continuance of business operations
o Conduct office management tasks and perform general office duties
o Dialogue with clientele about customer service queries or issues
o Perform training sessions and other team development exercises in customer service
o Ensure that safety, hygiene and security procedures are followed and standards are met as specified
o Act as a purchasing officer and budget controller creating a professional relationship with external suppliers
o Provide constant leadership, counselling, advice and feedback to Orchid’s staff
o Meet with department heads on a regular basis in order to discuss daily tasks, target setting, maintenance issues, customer complaints and to generate new ideas
o Follow-up on Orchid’ maintenance issues
o Manage reports related to financial, business and administrative matters
o Address operational and technical issues in a timely manner
o Enforce adherence to regulations and quality standards
o Provide the Managing Partner with recommendations to increase revenues, decrease expenses or enhance customer service levels
o Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed, developed or assigned

Behavioral Competencies/Soft Skills

- BA in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
- Hands on experience in customer service or sales
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Fluent in English and Arabic Language, French is a plus
- Willing to work long hours and flexible schedule
- Ability to manage multiple operations with a high level of detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills

Work Conditions:

From Monday to Sunday; One day off on weekdays; 9:00 am till closing – extra hours will be compensated by reducing schedule when workload permits.
