The Controls Systems Engineer position is responsible for delivery of Automation (Control Systems) projects and automation system support. Working with customers and customer documentation such as BOQ, Schedules and Planing and process descriptions to define control system hardware & software requirements; design and document control system hardware, control network, and field bus networks; program and test control strategies and shop drawings; start-up and commissioning on-site; post-start-up support for customers. Must be able to independently perform these tasks for small/Medium projects and provide technical direction and leadership to a project team for larger projects.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Control System architecture design
Control System hardware and software design
Preparation of configuration design specifications
Interpret design input documentation such as Schedules, shop drawings, diagrams.
Interpret and/or author narrative specifications including Control System requirements, Design Criteria and User Requirements;
Review and comment on information to/from customers, other vendors, and other team members within the team.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Project Management skills
Control System implementation or commissioning experience
Knowledge of KNX Protocol, ETS or other field bus technologies would be an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of process control and instrumentation
Strong oral and written skills
Good communication skills are a requirement
Degree in Electrical, Telecom, computer engineering (Or Equivalent experience).
One to Two (1-2) years’ experience . (Same Field)
