SUMMARY
As an IT help desk you will be serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email. You will be responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, determining and implementing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
Passing on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
- Walking customer through problem-solving process
- Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Following up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
- Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems
- Installing modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software
- Identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures
- Running reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur
Qualifications
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science
- Good understanding of computer systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Customer-oriented
- Ability to close cycles
- Excellent communication skills
