Summary tasks & Duties:

Greet and escort guests to their assigned table;
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods when asked;
Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request;
Assist the Restaurant manager in day to day duties to ensure smooth running of the operation;
Assist in achieving company objectives in sales, service and appearance in a productive and positive environment;
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures;
Train new team members, assign opening and closing duties and monitor duties through completion;
Coordinate with other team member to ensure punctual guest seating and order delivery from the kitchen;
Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problem;
Prepare all required paperwork, including forms and reports in a timely manner;
Handle purchasing and store requests in coordination with his/her superior
