Job scope
- The Technical Unit Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all technical activities of Preventive Maintenance and Projects.

Role and Responsibilities
-To confer with management and production staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
-To coordinate and direct projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities.
-To analyze technology, resource needs, and market demands, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
-To plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
-To direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
-To oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
-To prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
-To develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, service, or firm.
-To perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
-To review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
-To present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
-To consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
-To set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
-To direct the distribution of projects.
-To plan, direct, and coordinate survey work with other staff activities, certify survey work, and writing land legal descriptions.
-To confer with and report to officials and the public to provide information and solicit support for projects.
-Preventive Maintenance & follow-up of customer technical needs (updates & patches)
-24x7 stock inventory & follow-up / spare parts ordering via logistics team
-Support for HP direct customers logged via HP call center

-To provide a monthly written progress report to the Technical Support Manager.
-To investigate and report software problems to the vendor, or the Regional, Area, or Corporate Office.
