Job Title: Financial Manager
Job Location: Iraq

Job Brief: Our client (a hospital in Iraq) is looking for a professional financial manager to oversee the hospital’s financial management covering, including but not limited to, the following topics: Forecasting costs and revenues, counselling on tax management, advising on investment decisions, conducting risk analyses for financial plans and evaluating capital expansion options (e.g. funding or loans.)

Job Responsibilities
• Assess the financial position and pinpoint current gaps and weaknesses
• Prepare financial reports and statements and conduct proper analysis (vertical, horizontal, etc.)
• Diagnose problems and device financial plans that include short-term and long-term financial goals
• Provide necessary advice with any financial decision making and study its impact in the future
• Analyze investment plans and study the feasibility of adopted solutions and ideas
• Source and evaluate capital financing, including loans, external funding, etc.
• Forecast revenues and costs and report any discrepancies
• Analyze market trends and identify risks and opportunities
• Track economic and financial changes that have an influence on the organization.
• Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits.
• Keep up with relevant financial policies, regulation and legislation
• Monitor financial procedures and ensure compliance with the law
• Address budget matters with management and provide recommendations based on expenditure as necessary.
• Advise on required actions to enhance financial performance and improve hospital cash flow.

Job Specifications
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting (At least 3 of which in a hospital setting)
• MBA, Masters in Finance, or equivalent is preferred
• Additional certification (e.g. CFP or CFA) is a plus
• Experience in financial modelling and statistical analysis
• Good Computer Skills in general, and Microsoft Office skills in specific
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail and High Conscientiousness
• Good time management
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Good command of English and Arabic
