Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Location: Iraq

Job Brief: The hospital is looking for an experienced and organized Quality Manager to join its team. The Quality Manager leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations.

Job Responsibilities
• Develops programs to review and evaluate patient care and outcomes.
• Implements strategies and plans for a quality improvement function within the facility in collaboration with the administrative and clinical leaders of the hospital.
• Promote a culture of patient safety and attempt to engage patients and seek their feedback on the quality of care.
• Promote a quality mindset within each hospital department to cater for well-balanced improvement across the organization
• Tracks and presents results of improvement efforts and ongoing measures of clinical processes to management.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
• Implements and integrates quality initiatives and process improvement plans throughout the organization based on data analysis and tracking and monitoring of hospital activities.
• Assures regulatory compliance within assigned areas of responsibilities and in collaboration with peers.
• Establishes external networks to facilitate benchmarking and practice excellence.
• Demonstrates leadership within and outside the facility to promote a model of excellence in practice, education, and administration.
• Ensures that review of medical records for quality of care issues, compliance with best practices, and potential litigation concerns occurs as needed.
• Attends quality management meetings, as appropriate.
• Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directives to staff and encourages interactive departmental meetings and discussions.
• Seek out external resources through conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary.
• Share professional knowledge with hospital staff, board members, and administrator.
• Maintains open and effective communications with patients and their nurses, physicians, peers, supervisors, and students.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services to stay current with the developments of the department and hospital.

Job Specifications
• At least 5 years of experience in hospital quality management
• BSc degree in nursing or equivalent field in healthcare
• Master’s in Healthcare Quality Management is preferred
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
