Job Description:
Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial and/or operational reports
Analyze main balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash-flow items
Prepare other reports as requested by the manager and/or supervisor
Strong background in accounting principles, procedures, and transactions
Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
Good knowledge of general ledger accounts (assets, payables and receivables, cash and banks, and expenses and revenues accounts). Knowledge of the Lebanese charts of accounts is a great asset.
Thorough understanding of basic finance subjects (risk and return, time value of money, interest rates: flat interest rate vs effective interest rate, yields, growth rates, etc…)
Proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables and financial, logical, and statistical formulas (IRR, PV, NPV, PMT, vlookup, sumifs, etc…)
Ability to handle, maintain, improve, and create excel templates used for financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Good knowledge in financial ratios (liquidity ratios, RoE, RoA, solvency ratios, etc…)
BA in accounting, finance, or economics from a reputable university (Masters is a plus)
Several years of experience in an accounting and/or financial analysis role
High working ethics
High commitment and respect to meeting deadlines
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English and/or French)
