The job holder is responsible for ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy of daily accounting activities, monitoring the accuracy of bookkeeping in ledgers, continuous control of the trial balance, following up on the completeness of accounting data, assuring meeting deadlines of reports related to Periodic Financial Statements, receivables, payables, cash and bank positions, inventories and periodic trial balances.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1.1 Validate the data entered by accountants on the system.
1.2 Close and review/confirm monthly trial balances as per the standard closing checklist within timeframe set by management, while respecting the segmentation of expenses already set by the company.
1.3 Assist in the preparation of monthly Financial Statements.
1.4 Handle all accounts (Payable, Receivables, Bank, Prepaid, etc.) reconciliations.
1.5 Prepare daily bank and cash position report
1.6 Control company’s accounts, monthly reconciliations of direct and contra-transactions.
1.7 Issue the LC, LG & PBG and follow up on executions.
1.8 Prepare monthly payroll, quarterly NSSF, quarterly tax declaration reports (VAT, Income).
1.9 Prepare yearly NSSF reports and review yearly tax declarations as prepared by auditors to ensure proper compliance with MOF requirements.
1.10 Carry out client invoice issuance, weekly customer aging and follow up on collections.
1.11 Handle legal files of local companies, official journals and documents and contracts.
1.12 Perform miscellaneous tasks within the scope of work, as assigned by the direct manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. Master’s degree or CPA, CMA, CFA certification is a plus.
4 to 6 years of proven experience in accounting field.
- Good knowledge in accounting principles & practices.
- Good understanding of the Lebanese chart of account & Lebanese regulations.
- Computer literate (MS, Excel, Word) with experience in AIS.
- Proficiency in English, French and Arabic.
