o Perform and supervise all aspects of accounting and financial activities of the organization.
o Prepare, monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
o Prepare monthly cash flow forecasting and prioritize supplier payments in order to make sure the company cash flow will not fall in to OD.
o Supervise the process of closing month-end for all transactions in the system and ensure that all necessary entries are passed, provisions & accruals booked in the system with proper reconciliations.
o Monitor and control the aging receivables, credit facilities, over dues, transaction cycle, receipts and recovery.
o Review all monthly reconciliation (banks, receivables and payables) and the Journal Vouchers.
o Inspect each payment and ensure compliance with approval process. Make sure that service or products obtained are for the best interest of the company.
o Liaise with external stakeholders such as Banks, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
o Develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
o Issue monthly financial statements, perform month to month analysis and report about major variances.
o In charge of the annual financial audit and deal with external auditors to accomplish such activities.
o Prepare the tax returns (quarterly)
o Review the Payroll related transactions (review NSSF contributions & Payroll withholding taxes. Review NSSF & Payroll Tax returns before being paid, Reconcile NSSF yearly returns and Payroll tax returns, etc.)
o Establish and control the Company’s monthly and yearly budget and present the variation report for the Board with the explanatory notes.
o Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants.
o Attend and participate in Management meetings, discuss issues, corrective measures and business decisions.
o Manage in collaboration with the Human Resources and Quality department - the Accounting department in terms of Recruiting, performance management, Quality Objectives, Training plan, Annual Leave plan etc.
o Control the application of the Quality Management System within the Accounting Department by maintaining the existing system and researching areas for improvement.
o Control of Department’s records as per the QMS Control of Records procedure and per the Governmental requirements.
o Ensure that accounting transactions are in compliance with IAS, Lebanese regulations and management policies.
