Waiters assist customers at restaurants by taking down their orders, delivering the meals on the tables, and creating the checks at the completion of the meal. Additionally, waiters have a duty to inquire whether clients are content with their meals and to offer assistance if necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Welcoming customers.
• Taking customer orders for meals and drinks and entering them into SALATA system.
• Making menu suggestions and letting customers know about any specials.
• When meals and drinks are ready, bringing them to the tables.
• Verifying that customers are happy with their meal by asking them.
• When asked, bringing the bills to the tables.
• Checking that the right amount has been paid before cashing up the invoices.
• Keeping the tables clean.
Qualifications
Language: A high level English and Arabic is essential (reading, writing and speaking). French is a plus.
Education: High school degree or degree in hospitality or any other equivalent degree is a plus.
Technical skills and abilities:
• The ability to endure prolonged standing and walking.
• Flexible workplace hours.
• The capacity to handle challenging customers with professionalism and serenity.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities.
• Coordination required to move trays or plates without dropping them.
