Provide strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company’s commitments are met and
develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the stability of the Accounting Dept.
-Direct and control the accounting staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
-Prepare end of year taxation report to ensure that the company comply with the legal requirements.
-Prepare monthly financial reports with all required supporting analysis & comments.
-Liaise with external auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company’s finances & accounts are maintained.
-Prepare budget in coordination with HOD’s and analyze figures on monthly basis.
-Implement an audit program to ensure that the divisions comply with financial procedures and regulations.
-Raise monthly report to the concerned managers about the stock count activity conducted and take a necessary action related to any variances.
-Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
-Prepare and monitor cash flow projections to determine the optimum use of funds relative to the business needs.
-Oversee the expenses vs. budget across all profit and cost centers and take immediate action when necessary and raise the relative highlights to the management.
-Maintain the development of the ERP accounting module as per the business needs.
-Prepare and maintain all accounting policies & procedures.
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance.
-Master’s degree in business administration.
-10+ years of experience in accounting function of which at least 4 years should be in a management role.
-African region experience is a plus.
-Excellent financial and analytical skills.
-Verbal and written fluency in English required.
