Description


NATURE OF WORK:
Administrative and supervisory work responsible for technicians engaged in
automotive mechanical and electrical repairs.
Work involves responsibility for workflow planning, issuing job cards, assigning
duties, inspecting maintenance repairs. Supervision is exercised over a group of
automotive mechanical and electrical technicians. General supervision works for
completeness and compliance with good standards of quality and production. duties
include greeting customers and helping them determine repairs and relevant costs,
maintaining up-to-date knowledge about our company range of services and contacting
customers to update them about their vehicle’s repair status. Acting as a liaison between
our customers and our Service Technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Greeting, directing, listening and registering customers’ and contracted
companies’ representatives’ needs and technical issues.
B. Following up work approvals as per policies.
C. Maintains an adequate supply of spare parts and materials.
D. Inspects and supervises the maintenance of tools, equipment, and ground.
E. Creating Job cards and assigning technicians for the job.
F. Keeps records of monthly and annual equipment inspections.
G. Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be
offered in place of expensive repairs.
H. Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with
technicians when necessary.
I. Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.
J. Overseeing and managing the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
K. Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be
picked up.
L. Participates in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of assigned
staff.
M. Provides day-to-day leadership and works with staff to ensure a high
performance, customer service-oriented work environment which supports
achieving the strategic plan, objectives, and values.
N. Supervises the work of technicians involved in performing routine to major
automotive mechanical repairs.
O. Advises employees as to the selection of appropriate repair or maintenance procedures and assists on difficult assignments; inspects work in progress and
upon completion.
P. Informs employees on service center safety rules and proper equipment usage and enforce their compliance.

engines.
K. Ability to organize, instruct and supervise the activities of skilled workers.
L. Ability to make mathematical calculations and maintain accurate records.
M. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
N. Good physical condition.

DESIRABLE BASIC EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from university or vocational school. Thorough experience in a variety of
automotive mechanical and electrical work, including completion of an apprenticeship.
and attainment of supervisor rank as an automotive mechanical service advisor and
supervisory experience in dealerships.
