Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to, fillings, extractions, root canals, and cleanings.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment details.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient comfort.
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and updating patient charts and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and dental lab technicians.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in using dental software for appointment scheduling and patient records management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a dental office is a plus.
