Job Description: A Warehouse Associate plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of a warehouse by performing various tasks related to receiving, storing, packing, and shipping goods. This role involves working as part of a team to ensure accurate inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Receiving:
• Receive incoming shipments, inspecting items for damages and verifying quantities.
• Unload items from trucks and transport them to designated storage areas.
Inventory Management:
• Organize and maintain inventory by properly storing items on shelves, racks, or designated areas.
• Update inventory records and ensure accurate documentation of received and stored items.
Picking and Packing:
• Retrieve items from shelves or storage areas based on order requirements.
• Pack items securely and label packages for shipping.
Order Fulfillment:
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare orders for shipping and coordinate with shipping personnel.
Quality Control:
• Perform visual inspections of items to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report any damaged or defective items to supervisors.
