Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented cashier to join our Accounting Department. The cashier will be responsible for handling various financial transactions related to payment processing and collection activities. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with the accounting team.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Processing multiple payments transactions from different types
• Recording and accounting for receipts
• Maintenance of records on excel spreadsheets
• Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile discrepancies
• Processing payroll, cash advances, bank transfers.
• Completing bank reconciliation checks on a monthly basis
• Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve payment issues and discrepancies
• Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each day
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cash handling and financial transactions
• Help with processing invoices, verifying accuracy and matching them to purchase orders or receipts
• Support the accounts payables process by organizing invoices, preparing payment vouchers and updating vendor records
• Assist in tracking accounts receivable and following up on outstanding invoices
• Help maintain organized and well- documented records for auditing and reporting purposes
• Any additional responsibilities requested by the management
Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role
• Strong numerical and data entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information and confidentiality
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
