Sous Chef:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items and food preparation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance in food preparation techniques.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dishes and menus.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Creativity in developing new dishes and menu items.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
