Key Responsibilities:
1. **Financial Record Keeping:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and balance sheets.
2. **Financial Reporting:**
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
3. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.
4. **Compliance and Auditing:**
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
- File tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
5. **Accounts Payable and Receivable:**
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely invoicing and collections from customers.
- Process vendor invoices and payments.
6. **Payroll Management:**
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy of payroll records.
- Handle payroll-related taxes and compliance with relevant regulations.
7. **Financial Analysis:**
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
8. **Software and Systems Management:**
- Utilize accounting software and systems to manage financial data.
- Ensure the integrity and security of financial data within the systems.
Qualifications:
_ Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
_ Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
_ Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, VAT ..)
• Proficiency in accounting software (PIMS experience highly preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience in Retail companies is highly preferred.
• Experience if office management and stock control is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
