Job Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording and verifying transactions and auditing trial balances
- Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group policies and procedures
Duties & Responsibilities
On General Duties
- Perform data entry of financial documents (account payable invoices, pre/payments (checks, wire), debit/credit memos, account receivable, receipts and fixed assets)
- Enter, daily, the currencies rate on system
- Reconcile bank accounts, on monthly basis, and report discrepancies to direct supervisor, follow up on any pending issue
- Perform necessary reconciliations (transitory accounts, suppliers SOA,) and report discrepancies to direct supervisor
- File all vouchers by serial number
- Prepare maturity list weekly, after checking prepayment reports
- Prepare documents requested by External Auditors timely and ensure accuracy of information
- Lebanon Team: Post BAT monthly expenses in General Ledger & prepare the monthly file to be send to BAT
- Iraq Team: Post & issue General Ledger entries for the control of the Senior Accountant & to be approved by the Chief Accountant
- Replace other accountant upon need
On Compliance
- Make sure that every document received is in compliance with VAT, finance regulation & ISO departmental procedures
Education
- Bachelor in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance/Audit
Experience
- Up to 1 year of previous related experience
