A Cafe/Bistro/Bar in Mar Mikhael is looking for an enthusiastic, charismatic and talented Sous Chef capable of working solo under the initial guidance and supervision of the Head Chef/Consultant within a small open kitchen.
He/She should have solid experience with European/Asian cuisine and be able and willing of handling the following:
- Daily/weekly purchasing of fresh ingredients and stock requirements
- Daily prep of menu ingredients for service
- Station mise en place for lunch service
- Station mise en place for dinner service
- Efficient handling of Hot/Cold Stations alone and under pressure
- Have advanced plating skills
- Mise en place for off-duty hours (items served by staff throughout his/her absence)
- Proper station cleanup after lunch and dinner service
- Systematic date labeling of ingredients
- Weekly/Monthly maintenance of all kitchen station equipment
Working hours are 5 days a week from 10:30AM to 15:00PM and from 18:00PM to 22:30PM and one 1/2 day either day or evening shift.
The position offers a base starting salary of $850/month + Tips and candidate will be considered for regular bonuses based on his/her and the station’s performance.
Candidate should be perfectly fluent in English (French a bonus), always be presentable, clean, courteous and accommodating with customers.
