Project Engineer – Iraq
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Iraq. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on finishing works, fit-out, MEP systems, and quality control.
This role is critical in delivering high-quality construction projects by ensuring seamless coordination between architectural, interior design, structural, and MEP disciplines, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, budget management, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Oversight & Quality Assurance:
Manage all phases of construction while ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, budget constraints, and project timelines.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet project specifications and international standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify quality issues.
2. Coordination Between Architectural, Interior Design, Structural, and MEP Disciplines:
Ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and interior design requirements.
Oversee the alignment of structural components with finishing and fit-out works to prevent conflicts and ensure a cohesive final product.
Address technical challenges and coordinate clash detection and resolution to avoid rework and delays.
3. Team Coordination & Subcontractor Management:
Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of works.
Facilitate collaboration between architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and construction teams to maintain project efficiency.
Ensure all stakeholders adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
4. Finishing Works & Fit-Out Quality Management:
Supervise and inspect all finishing activities with a strong focus on quality, precision, and material compliance.
Ensure all materials and workmanship adhere to design specifications and industry standards.
5. MEP Works & Safety Compliance:
Oversee MEP installations to ensure alignment with architectural, structural, and interior design plans.
Conduct quality checks and performance tests to verify compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
6. Budget Management & Cost Control:
Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring work is completed within the approved budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and equipment efficiently.
7. Progress Reporting & Problem Solving:
Provide regular reports on project status, quality issues, and corrective actions.
Identify on-site challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain project quality, coordination, and timeline.
