IT Support / IT Administrator / IT Help Desk
Scope of Business Profile:
A well established Electromechanical Construction Co. based in Kaslik – Jounieh is looking to employ an IT Support / Help Desk Administrator for the IT Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for system environment (Active Directory, IIS, ISA, Exchange, SQL, NAS, Backup/Recovery)
• Manage servers in a Active Directory environment
• Maintain a broad knowledge of operating systems, programming languages and hardware
• Monitor system logs and activity on all servers
• Administer and Troubleshoot a Microsoft based server farm
• Perform network analysis, capacity planning and testing for organization's system environment.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance of system (operating systems version upgrades, application of patches, performance tuning, troubleshooting software, backup and recovery.. )
• Use the appropriate information and data analysis techniques to diagnose the problem
• Identify problems and search for potential solutions and evaluate them against problem characteristics, system usage and configuration
• Escalate problems according to company policy
• Prepare and communicate trouble report that communicate information accurately, clearly and in a timely manner
• Prepare and revise as needed the Network configuration that follows the organization’s format and procedures and is organized for most efficient access by other users
• Assists in the creation of processes and procedures for network operation
• Maintains library of associated materials (CD, DVD, storage device,spare parts..) for all equipment, processes and procedures
• Act as a backup network administrator for the routine maintenance for network administration scope of work (routers, firewall, switches, voip, security systems…)
• Consider user concerns and addressed in all communications
Experience & knowledge:
• Minimum 3-6 years experience as System Administrator / Support/ Help Desk
• Knowledge of TCP/IP stacks and their functionality
• Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows Server 2000/2003
• Advanced knowledge of Internet Information Services
• Advanced knowledge of ISA
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory
• Knowledge and troubleshooting of Exchange 2003
• Knowledge and troubleshooting of MS SQL Server 2000

Core competencies /skills:
Installing, configuring and upgrading end users operating systems and software, using primarily standard application practices;
Installing, configuring, assembling and repairing computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers and related hardware;
Monitoring and basic troubleshooting techniques in LAN and WAN communication (TCP/IP, routing, switching…);
Troubleshooting and solving hardware and software problems;
Instructing users on new or upgraded computer applications and hardware;
Communicating effectively with co-workers, subordinates, superiors, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information;
Techniques for explaining technical concepts and procedures for non-technical users;
Maintaining and supporting all Hardware / Software problems at remote offices, providers, and risk carriers through telephone first level support, remote assistance if needed, and finally by scheduling an on-site visit in a very demanding situations;
Collecting information needed to keeping up-to-date a Hardware / Software inventory database, as well as maintaining this database;
Specific:
• Microsoft (Windows, MS-Office, AD, Exchange, TS, ISA, …)
• Networking (DNS, DHCP, WINS…)
• Virus protection (Mcafee, Symantec, and EPO)
• Backup (Veritas)
• Installation and basic configuration of (MailSweeper, Oracle Forms server, MSAccess, Laserfishe, and many others)
Education:
BT3 / TS Information Systems, Computer/ Communication Engineering or equivalent. Languages: Command the English, French and Arabic.
