Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and efficiency of an organization’s buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Facilities Manager will coordinate maintenance schedules, oversee vendors and contractors, manage budgets, and implement strategic facility improvement plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds.
Manage facility-related budgets, including forecasting costs, negotiating contracts, and controlling expenses.
Schedule and supervise maintenance staff and external contractors.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and emergency response procedures.
Manage security systems, access controls, and ensure facility safety protocols are enforced.
Oversee office moves, renovations, or expansions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain records of equipment, maintenance logs, and facility-related documentation.
Coordinate space planning, workspace allocation, and office layout optimization.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management or a similar role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Effective leadership and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple vendors and service providers.
