The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, team performance, and sales growth. This role involves overseeing staff, managing inventory, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining visual merchandising standards to drive store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations
Manage all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Oversee cash handling, bank deposits, and POS systems.
Maintain safety, security, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Sales and Customer Service
Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Deliver exceptional customer service and handle escalated customer issues.
Train staff on upselling, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.
3. Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
Create staff schedules and manage attendance and performance.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
4. Inventory & Merchandising
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment.
Conduct regular stocktakes and manage shrinkage.
Ensure visual merchandising and store displays align with brand standards.
5. Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit sales reports, budgets, and other administrative documentation.
Analyze store performance and implement strategies for improvement.
Communicate with head office or regional management as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a store manager or in a supervisory retail role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Knowledge of retail management best practices.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business or Retail Management is a plus).
3+ years of retail management experience.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Salary range: 2000-2500 USD
