The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s nightly operations, balancing the day’s financial transactions, and ensuring all guest services are provided efficiently and professionally. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth transition between shifts and providing a high level of guest satisfaction throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nightly audit of the hotel’s daily financial activity and balance all transactions (rooms, F&B, POS, etc.).
Review and verify all guest folios, room charges, and payments.
Prepare daily reports for management including occupancy, revenue, and audit summaries.
Manage late-night check-ins/check-outs and ensure all guest requests are handled promptly.
Monitor hotel security and ensure guest safety in coordination with security staff.
Reconcile cash drawers and handle end-of-day banking procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all incidents, guest complaints, and unusual occurrences during the shift.
Assist in preparing the front office for the morning shift (reports, handovers, etc.).
Ensure lobby and reception area are neat and presentable during the night.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a night auditor or front desk agent in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations and night audit procedures.
Familiarity with hotel software systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar PMS).
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Fluent in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping.
