Description


Job Purpose

Responsible for leading the maintenance strategy, reliability, and technical performance of all process equipment across manufacturing operations, ensuring production uptime, GMP compliance, and efficient resource utilization through structured maintenance planning and execution.

Works in coordination with the Utilities and facility systems Engineer and Engineering Projects & Optimization engineer to ensure cohesive planning, execution, and optimization across the site’s technical operations.

Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group Policies and Procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities
On Production Equipment Coverage

- Manage and oversee maintenance activities for plastic production lines including injection molding and blow molding machines

- Supervise maintenance of mixing vessels, agitators, homogenizers, and associated dosing and control systems in personal care and pharmaceutical production

- Maintain high availability of filling and packaging lines (bottling, capping, labeling, cartooning, blistering) across both FMCG and GMP-regulated areas

- Ensure reliable operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment including granulators, tablet presses, coating machines, and cleanroom-embedded process systems



On Maintenance Execution & Planning

- Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks using SAP PM, ensuring timely execution and minimal disruption to operations

- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on production equipment

- Manage spare parts inventory and critical components to avoid downtime, ensuring proper stock levels and usage tracking through SAP integration



On Performance and Reliability

- Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through equipment performance analysis and reliability engineering

- Standardize maintenance procedures and develop equipment-specific SOPs for daily, weekly, and overhaul-level tasks



On Compliance and Documentation

- Ensure maintenance activities are documented per GMP and ISO standards where applicable

- Maintain calibration and validation schedules for equipment interfacing with product quality or cleanroom conditions



On Safety and Continuous Improvement

- Lead risk assessments and implement safety improvements related to moving machinery, line changeovers, and high-energy systems

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on downtime reduction, faster changeovers, and enhanced equipment reliability



On Support for Capital Projects & Site Transition

- Provide technical oversight during installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and machinery

- Support site consolidation efforts by standardizing practices and alignment between both plants

- Collaborate with the Project & Capex Engineer to scope utility needs for future expansions or modifications



On HR

- Contribute proactively with the Talent Acquisition Team in filling vacancies timely. Design/update related JD and on-boarding programs and ensure their proper understanding & implementation. Ensure an optimized structure in line with business priorities and performance

- Provide direct reports with needed resources/tools and guidance to fulfil their role properly and set their training needs and development plan in coordination with L&DM. Celebrate achievements, highlight people with potential to offer them perspective for growth

- Set direct reports annual Business Goals and required competencies and conduct quarterly feedback sessions to appraise their performance. Monitor continuously direct report productivity and take corrective actions in due time. Issue misconducts and enroll under-performers in related program

Education And Experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
