We are looking for a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead our printing, injection, and plastic bag production divisions within a large-scale manufacturing facility in Angola.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Industrial Engineer with a strong background in plastics manufacturing, process optimization, and factory management.
You will be responsible for the full plant operation — ensuring productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety across all departments while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and safety.
• Plan, organize, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, GMP, etc.) and maintain high product consistency.
• Manage and lead production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Control production costs through efficient use of materials, labor, and energy.
• Analyze production data and KPIs, preparing reports and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams for process improvements, mold design validation, and new product introductions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
• Drive operational excellence by integrating industrial engineering tools such as time studies, layout optimization, and process flow analysis.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in injection molding or plastic manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with plastic bag extrusion and printing, injection molding, and film production lines.
Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and raw materials.
• Knowledge of extrusion, flexographic or rotogravure printing, and injection molding processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Experience with ERP systems, production scheduling, and maintenance. Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage factory operations.
• Languages: English, Arabic and French.
