Rifitel Nigeria Limited, a fast-growing Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) contracting company, is seeking a competent and experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to join our project execution team. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in mechanical building services and hands-on experience managing MEP site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on site (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, water supply, drainage, and related systems).
Interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and ensure compliance with project standards.
Plan daily site activities and allocate tasks to technicians, artisans, and subcontractors.
Conduct site inspections, ensure quality workmanship, and enforce technical standards.
Prepare and submit daily site reports, work progress updates, and materials request forms.
Ensure proper installation of mechanical systems according to MEP coordination drawings.
Monitor material usage and support the store/warehouse team in managing consumables and equipment.
Collaborate with Electrical, Plumbing, QS, HSE, QA/QC, and Project Managers to ensure smooth site progress.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide practical engineering solutions on site.
Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, site regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
B.Eng / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years working experience in MEP site execution.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical installation works.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
Experience with MEP coordination, project reporting, and site supervision.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit is an added advantage.
