Rifitel Nigeria Limited, a leading MEP contracting company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Supervisor capable of handling large-scale commercial, industrial, and high-rise (multi-storey) projects. The ideal candidate must be technically strong, hands-on, and capable of leading advanced HVAC installations, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of large HVAC systems including VRF/VRV, chilled water plants, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
Manage ducting and chilled water piping works, including insulation, fire-rated ducting, and shaft mechanical floor installations.
Lead testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) operations for air and chilled water systems.
Oversee BMS-integrated HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, thermostats, and automation systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues in compressors, VRF networks, pumps, electrical controls, and hydronic systems.
Review and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, risers, and coordination layouts with strong accuracy.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, QA/QC, Safety, and Project Management teams for smooth site operations.
Prepare daily reports, material requests, site logs, and progress updates.
Enforce strong safety practices in high-rise and mechanical room operations.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of progressive HVAC experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise projects.
Strong leadership & team supervision skills.
Advanced technical expertise in VRF/VRV, chilled water systems, ducting, BMS controls, and complex troubleshooting.
Ability to manage technicians and subcontractors efficiently.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using HVAC diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
