Role Description
We are seeking an Internal Controller to join our team in Lagos State, Nigeria, in a full-time, on-site capacity. The Internal Controller will be responsible for monitoring financial compliance, assessing and improving internal control systems, ensuring proper financial documentation, and supporting accurate reporting. You will assist in audits, analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
-Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and auditing processes,
-Proficiency in financial analysis and attention to detail to identify discrepancies and anomalies,
-Proven ability to implement and improve internal control systems,
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively,
-Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and experience with accounting tools or ERP systems,
-Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders,
-Ability to work independently in an on-site role and deliver results under tight deadlines,
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field,
Professional certification, such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (completed or in progress) is a plus,
-Prior experience in compliance or internal audit roles is preferred.
-Willing to relocate to Nigeria.
